Bills Of Chat

Sorry, what was the point you were making?

The one before the synergy started breaking?

Because I swear I knew it was gonna be earthquaking

But you shut your lips before it slipped

There’s no mistaking

Seemed a while your tongue had been baking

Up this hard hitter, teeth chattered, shattered and shaking

All these little sparks congregating

But you shut up and I’m left replacing

The prophecy with my own sloppy needs

As you sit humming and hesitating

Maybe it matters more to me

But I thought we was relating

Joining dots and creating

New puddles of power ready for misbehaving

Now I can draw a whisper

And I find all your profundity just aggravating

We were correlating histories and mysteries

Propagating conspiracies and our oddities were fornicating

Now I’m sat strumming my own imagination

As you lock the belt on promised sagacity

As my own audacity is outraging

I used to think you were so amazing

Spent hours pacing opinions and racing dominions

Agreeing or not, it was elating

Now I just wanna find new ears and sit slating

You to high heavens

Nip buds before you get a chance for celebrating

I’m hateful and hating, beautifully berating

Irritating, but I’m just saying

You’ve changed and it’s grating

It’s new flesh on mine, rubbing and raging

Because in the flash of my eye

What was once so entertaining

So engaging

Became watching paint dry

So I’m changing this ‘you and I’

Before the bills of chat are due

And I’m the only cunt paying.
