Bug Out

Don’t look at me like I’m a little alien

Come trespassing on your godly ground

When all I’m searching for

Is a pinch, a bit of lost and found

I know I ain’t quite like them

And I know we’re not the same

But must you really look upon me

With so much disgust and shame?

Why you letting their non believing words

Rattle round your weak and human brain?

Can’t you go back to your silliness I’ve seen

When God intervenes and saves

But recently, there’s more to my crash landing

As every appearance I am late

It’s dark when I get home

And my planet is a state

Waiting for the imminent thumb

That’ll squash me into mush

As if that’s my only fate.
